Built for Modern Use

Li textile carries one of China's oldest Jacquard weaving logics — a generative system of pattern, colour, and symbol developed over millennia. LijinElements works with this cultural context to develop original Lijin® design assets for contemporary product and brand application.

Selected original Lijin® designs and brand applications developed by LijinElements are available for licensing and co-creation, subject to rights review and culturally responsible use.

Market Positioning

Li textile is UNESCO-listed intangible cultural heritage — a credential that carries genuine weight with Chinese consumers and growing interest internationally.

02 — Fashion Collaborations
From Hainan
to Paris Fashion Week

In September 2024, during the Spring/Summer 2025 Paris Fashion Week season, a collaboration with Vivienne Tam brought Li textile into the international fashion conversation. In March 2025, LijinElements placed Li textile on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar in partnership with Véronique Leroy. LijinElements brings the knowledge, the archive, and the cultural authority. We work with designers who bring their own vision.

The result in both cases was not costume or reference — it was genuine dialogue between a living textile tradition and a contemporary design practice. That is the kind of collaboration we are interested in continuing.

The Cosmos and Generative Logic Inside a Li Textile

In collaboration with the Hainan Provincial Cultural Center, LijinElements is developing an immersive exhibition that brings Li textile into conversation with technology and contemporary life.

Ancestral Algorithm treats the Li textile not as an artifact to be preserved, but as a living system — one whose patterns, symbols, and structural logic have things to say to the present moment.

The exhibition is planned around five zones of encounter: a light-shadow loom installation, a digital weaving hall, an immersive cinema, and interactive stations for dyeing, weaving, and pattern recognition — each designed to make the knowledge of Li textile accessible, experiential, and genuinely surprising.

The design language is minimal and deliberately contemporary. The craft is the content. Technology is the medium.
